What I Wore・Vancouver B.C 2017
I spent almost an entire week at Vancouver, and of course I had to do a fashion post about what I wore.
If you do not know my fashion tastes by now, I'll tell you very quickly: I like dressing up, but I also love comfort and simple/easy style. That's why at the sophia diaries, you will never see a super embellished or complicated outfit :) Ain't nobody got time for that ;P
I saw a random yellow building in the middle of downtown Vancouver and decided it was a good place to take some outfit photos.
Turned out I had pretty good intuition, because I love the yellow/green background to my outfit.
Have you ever visited a town before that you never thought was very photogenic, and then you started looking out for these places and it's like everywhere is photogenic?
I had one of those moments. I would spend an entire day wandering around Vancouver and found so many great places to take outfit photos, that I would keep missing opportunities to actually take the photos :P #bloggerprobs
Anyway, I loved how this outfit turned out. I was never a big fan of white pants/shorts, but when I put this outfit on it looks amazing, a lot better than I had anticipated.
Sometimes you just gotta try out something new, even if you think it isn't great. Life just may surprise you.
You know what's great about this outfit? Is that it was such a comfortable outfit, and that the outfit was actually shot inside, at Aberdeen Centre.
We chose the red/orange part to take the photo, but I loved the various shades of colors and the different textures.
I don't really have much to say about this outfit other than the fact that I want a pair of grey denim jeans now, after having worn these shorts.
I always forget that the denim world has various colors that aren't just black and blue :P
I don't know why but most of my outfit photos are taken with a green or blue background? Why is that a thing? Why am I drawn to those back grounds?
The answer: probably because I feel more me in those settings, and it just looks more natural in the photos.
This was taken at Granville Island, where we wandered unexpectedly into a small float/deck/whatever that is called.
It was honestly a gorgeous day, and the sky was as blue as the trees were green. I kind of wish I could relive that day...
I felt very happy in Canada, and it's probably because it was so close to the water. I don't know about anyone else, but as someone who grew up by the coast, whenever I am close to water I always feel a sense of calm wash over me.
Even though water can be seen as dangerous, it is also very calming.
I didn't really have a lot of smiley faces of this outfit, and that's because I was focusing the energy of the water around me. It felt great.
I was actually at Vancouver for 6 days, but the first and last day was mostly travel. That's why you only see four outfits :)
What's your favorite outfit?
