7 Bloggers to Follow
A lot of bloggers say that it is good to read other blogs because that's how you connect with others and learn from them. While that is true, I also know myself.
I am a very impressionable person, and I have grown up being compared to others, which led me to eventually self-compare myself to others, which is why I try hard to avoid reading other blogs.
Because when I read other people's blogs, I start questioning myself: Should I post that too? Should I write about that too? Should I do the same things?
But the truth is, success by blogging varies by person and I have realized that in the past few months. So now I am reading more blogs by others, and this is my current favorite blog list.
I read an article from Jessica about her relationships, and I immediately felt a kinship to her, even though I've never met her before. I won't go into it, you can read it here. But that kinship I felt with her made me semi-stalk her on social media.
I have starting reading her blog like a month or two ago, and I enjoy it, because she keeps her blog posts short and sweet, getting straight to the point, which is my kind of vibe.
I haven't ever felt this connection with another blogger before, and I am grateful for it. No doubt I sound extremely stalkerish and weird right now, but I also look up to her. Even though I've never met her, I'm sure she is super cool.
If I've only read Jessica's blog for 1-2 months, then I've only started paying attention to Marie's blog for about 2-3 weeks.
She is a fashion blogger and almost all the posts I've read are fashion related. She is a beautiful human being and her blog posts are laced with many photos of her outfits which I always appreciate when I do not have time.
Even though I haven't been paying a lot of attention to her, her fashion photos and blog posts are something I look up to as well. I hope my fashion posts emit some of her positive energy.
If we are talking fashion, Aimee's blog/Instagram, Song of Style is probably the epitome of fashion blogging.
Honestly though, I only really started paying attention to her blog after I started watching her vlogs. Her photos present her one way, but when you watch her vlogs, you see another side of her that isn't emitted from her photos.
I see her as having the best of both worlds -- she isn't just another fashion blogger, but actually has an interior design job. That is my current dream, and I will work my backside off to make it come true.
You know that moment when you accidentally discover something good that you can't just let go of?
Well, that's how I felt when I discovered Kirsten's blog. Not only is her style impeccable, but her photographs are also well done, well times, and just look aesthetically pleasing.
I also find that she is insanely nice and sweet and has a beautiful smile that no one can beat! Her blog is a little bit more niche at just fashion, food, and travel, but I find that within those three categories they include a wide range of various subsections, which make her blog just as engaging as the average blog.
[I wrote this blog post a month ago so I made the collage a month ago as well, Kirsten was a late but much needed addition! ;)]
I've been following Chriselle on YouTube for a good few years, and I love her style and quick fashion videos on YouTube.
Her blog itself is clean, pleasing to the eye, yet is filled with all the necessary information. I followed her through her marriage, and the birth of her child and I love watching her adventures on YouTube.
But Chriselle's blog isn't just fashion. It's also beauty and lifestyle. She makes a good balance between all aspects of her life, and I enjoy reading her posts that are non-fahsion related. Her blog has a bit of everything.
When it comes to clean and minimal, Estee's blog is super clean and super minimalistic. The layout for her blog is super easy to follow and her blog posts always have her positive and bubbly personality laced in.
Her photos are as clear as they come, and the fact that I have followed her blog through many transformations make me feel like I've been on the journey with her.
She is one of the first YouTuber's I subscribed to. I remember subscribing to her channel when it was around 300K and I am very happy for her journey so far. She really does and talks about all. She is also not shy about talking about taboo subjects, which we can all appreciate.
When it comes to YouTubers/Bloggers I love, Claire kind of tops the list. Her videos are nothing but top notch, and her Instagram is a photographer's dream.
While her blog is probably the least active of the list, her blog follows her aesthetic of her personality: minimal yet bold.
While it's been awhile since I've read any of her blog posts, she is one cool human being who is always unapologetic of her life choices and I love that about her.
Blogging should never be about comparison, I have learnt. It's about supporting each other and using whatever power you have in the internet to shed light on the good, bad, and the ugly.
These females are nothing but beautiful but they are also fearless in the face of a challenge, and that's why I enjoy following their journey.
