5 Netflix Original Shows To Watch

5 Netflix Original Shows To Watch

So I've been thinking about whether Netflix is worth the increase in monthly membership, but the new slew of Netflix Original Shows (and the occasional movie) is totally changing my mind. I recently discovered these shows, and I am impatiently waiting for the next seasons already. So if you are asking the same question as me, check these out, and I swear they will change your mind!

Queer Eye

Okay, I do live under a rock, so I didn't even know about the original Fab 5, so I didn't know this was the new Fab 5. But man, have I been living under the rock for too long.

This show is too short in my opinion. There are very few episodes, and each episode is almost an hour. I watched the entire show in about 2 days because it was SO GOOD. Every episode is bound to leave you either tearing up or make you feel good about humanity. Couldn't recommend this show enough to be honest.

Grace & Frankie

Okay, I only know Lily Tomlin because of her few cameos in NCIS as Tim's grandmother, but omg, this show is RIDICULOUSLY HILARIOUS. And actually does not romanticize anything, especially old age. Every single cast member is absolutely hilarious, and they talk about a lot of topics that are seen as 'taboo' for the older age demographic. But I somehow managed to watch up to Season 3 within a week...and it was totally unintentional. It just happened! That's how you know it's a good show.

Good Morning Call

Okay, I know a lot of people who read this will not be Japanese like me, or even Asian. But when something is good, it's just good, and deserves the recognition.

This Japanese drama heavily reminds me of another childhood favorite Japanese drama, Hana Yori Dango. And this is honestly so cute. I'm only in Season 1, but already I can't stop watching it!

Terrace House

Sorry (but not really sorry) for all these Japanese recommendations, but this one is SO GOOD. If you only watched one of the two Japanese recommendations, this one is it. It's basically reality tv, BUT, everyone is Asian, so it's polite reality tv. It's mostly about relationships/friendships, so you know you'll get invested in the friendships that develop. Either way, you should check it out. Because my boyfriend and I watched the entire first season (which was split into two parts) in about a month, and loved every second of it.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

I definitely don't need to 'promote' this too much because it's such a good series to begin with. But honestly, I'm glad Netflix is starting to do such good shows based off of books, because they do not disappoint. My BF and I have yet to have cracked into the second season, but I'm definitely tackling that when we are done with all these other shows haha

BONUS: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

Okay, I kind of had to throw this in there even though Agents of SHIELD isn't even produced by Netflix. BUT IT IS SO GOOD SO YOU SHOULD WATCH IT.

I know I missed a lot of shows...like The Crown, and 13 Reasons Why. But I don't want to promote something that I haven't watched, and is controversial to myself.

But, if you have any other Netflix Original Shows to recommend, let me know in the comments down below!

Which of the 5/6 I recommend have you watched and which is your favorite?
