Winter Skincare Must-Haves

Winter Skincare Must-Haves

Winter is still here and we all have certain rituals we do for our skin during the winter.

I am here to share my favourite products when it comes with keeping my skin healthy and aglow.

Many of these products will, hopefully, make you go, "DUH!", but I just want to say that when you strip away the 10-step skincare routine that exists, these are the core products that really makes a difference in your skin.

So let's get started!

DISCLAIMER: I am not being sponsored, and the products I featured are just featured for the sake of an example. Please keep in mind that the products I use do not have to be the products you use.

Stay Hydrated

This is basically THE most important must-have for winter skincare, and I'm sure you know why so I won't get too much into it. Hydration is just important, and even though it's cold outside, you still got to hydrate.

For me, this S'well bottle (review here) has been keeping me hydrated because I can put hot or cold water in it. I know many don't want to hear this but, drink some warm hot water in the winter. It also keeps you warm.

Moisturizing/Hydrating Face Cream

When I travel, I think about what skincare items I truly need, and in the end, it always comes down to just a face cream (this is assuming I cannot bring heavy liquids like toners with me).

This Belif Moisturizing Bomb is great for keeping the skin smooth and moisturized, especially in the winter months when there is cold wind blowing every which way.

Their Aqua Bomb is amazing also.

Hydrating Face Mask

Putting on a face cream is important, but it is also important to have a go to face mask that you know brings in that extra moisture and hydration.

I do not care for the price of GlamGlow masks, but after trying the Thirsty Mud and Super Mud, I have to admit that they really know their stuff.

The skin on your face is important, but then is the skin around the rest of your body.

Body Butter/Cream

I will just throw this out there: out of your entire body, your legs and arms are the places that can get dehydrated the quickest, and the most. And most of the time, it's your legs that get the real brunt of it. This being your legs are not as warmly dressed as the rest of your body, so it is more susceptible to cold winds and harsh conditions.

Body cream is especially important during the winter. I highly recommend putting it on right after you shower. You can, of course, put it on daily if you wish. But I don't.

Heads up, the drier your legs are, the heavier the body cream/butter you should be using.

Hand Cream

Aside from your face, the skin on your hands is most exposed, especially if you are not a glove wearer on the daily.

Hand cream is especially important, because the back side of your hand can get extremely dry and damaged. Similar to body cream, the drier your hands are, the thicker the cream should be. I recommend carrying your hand cream with you every where so you can apply as you see fit. In the case of hand cream, I don't think there is ever such a thing as too much.

I hope my tips helped. If you have anything you would like to add, please feel free to comment down below!
