S'well 'White Marble Water bottle' Review

S'well 'White Marble Water bottle' Review

My Camelbak was just getting too dirty, and it was just too high maintenance for me, so it was time for a new water bottle.

I have been looking for something for a long time, and it wasn't until my friend got hers did I realize I needed one of these in my life.

I originally preferred the Baltic Green Marble one, but when I was looking to purchase they still only had the 9oz. I think it would've looked better considering how my laptop case is a black marble. Either way, I'm happy with my current decision.

Now, let's review this water bottle.

If you ever used a Camelbak you would know that it's 250ml, which is usually 25oz. However, because the way this bottle is designed, instead of making it wider, they actually made it taller. So the 25oz bottle is extremely tall. Which, when I found out, was more annoyed with than anything because I wanted the incentive to drink more water.

But the 17oz is fine with me too. I just gotta fill it more often. I know, first world problems.

This water bottle claims the following:

  1. No condensation.
  2. Keeps cold water cold for 24 hours, and hot water hot for 12 hours.

In terms of condensation, there is no condensation. Which I REALLY appreciate. My Camelbak was always condensing and it would get all over my laptop and notebook cover. It really annoyed me. I know, again, first world problems.

Now, for the bold claim of water temperature...

Now, I don't know if it can actually keep water cold for 24 hours because I always end up drinking the water within the hour so it's hard to keep the claim. But, I do know that it can at least cold water cold for about 18+ hours. I once went to bed with super ice-cold water, and when I woke up in the morning I was distinctly surprised with how cold it was still. So I think for the 24 hour claim, it definitely makes the cut.

In terms of the 12 hour hot water promise, I'm not as sure. Now, I solidly get about 9-10 hours of sleep and recently I've been drinking more warm water than anything else. And when I wake up in the morning, the water is usually at that weird luke-warm, more cold than hot, stage.

So it doesn't keep it searing hot.

But it's still nice to wake up to drink warm water.

I will note that because of the finish, if you try to hold it and have sweaty hands or a loose grip, it can slip out really easily.

And it also dents easily too. I dropped it once, and there's a flat dent on the cap.

One other thing I will note is that if you are a lipstick wearer, then you might run into the problem where your lipstick will eventually get to the inside rim of the water bottle.

But because the rim isn't that deep, it's also easy to clean. So there is a solution for that.

The rim is also very small, but it's just small enough where when you tip the water bottle to drink from it, the chances are very slim for any of the water to spill onto you. Unless you are super careless.

The cap is stainless steel so it's really nice and expensively feeling.

So overall, even though this water bottle is a lot more expensive than it should be, because of it's two promises, I really recommend it. Especially if you drink tea or hot water, or even if you just don't want condensation over all your stuff.

Either way, it's worth it for sure. So if you are looking for a good investment, I recommend this.

I actually got mine from Urban Outfitters. They only have the 17oz in stores, and do not have the full collection. The one I went to had the gold, the wood collection, the white marble, and the palm leaves bottle. Unfortunately S'well doesn't have a store front. But they can also be found in Bloomingdales.

If you own one and I missed something, please comment below. If you are impressed enough to get one from this review, let me know what you think of it!

You can find it at their website here, or at Urban Outfitters here
