Sephora Favourites 'Draw the Line' Review

Sephora Favourites 'Draw the Line' Review

Everyone in the beauty world looks forward to the time of the year when Sephora Favourites come out. And this year, this is one of the very few Sephora Favourites I am interested in so I bought it... and now I'm going to review it.

When I opened the box with the actual eyeliners in it, i was very disappointed. I know they wanted to make it fancy so when you wrap it up as a gift it's worth it and looks good under the tree, but it is such a waste of packaging.

Also, not going to lie, I'm confused as to why they would do the whole step thing into the box? I wish they just got one of those plastic covers, put the eyeliners into it so it would stay. And it would look so much neater.

I just don't like the packaging.

First Impression

Since there are so much eyeliners in this box, I'm going to briefly go over each one of them.

Shall we start from the smallest?

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner: This is one of the biggest reason why I bought this, just for the sake of this eyeliner. And it did not disappoint. While it didn't swatch well on my hand (it wasn't as black as I was hoping it would be, and also kind of splotchy on my hand) it just glided onto my eyes and stayed on all day. No complaints.

*Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear: No impression, except for the fact that I don't know why Sephora wanted to protect the ENTIRE pencil and packaged it in hard plastic head to toe.

*Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil: No impression, but it is a very nice purple and definitely glides on smoothly. I haven't used it because I don't like using any other color eye liner except black and brown.

Stila Cosmetics Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner: I put it on for about five minutes, put on my Nars Tinted Moisturizer, and it was already smudging in my under eye. I immediately took it off. Also, it took a lot of twisting to get more product out.

Tarte lights, camera lashes precision longwear eyeliner: This is the only eyeliner I swatched that I was happy with the darkness of. It was REALLY black. So I had high hopes. But within 2 minutes, it was already in my upper eyelid, smudged. And it wasn't even on the eye that usually transfers! So then I put the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner on top and it was all better.

Smashbox Cosmetics Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner: It's smooth, and a very rich brown. I actually quite like this eyeliner. And it has a screwed top which I like but was surprised about. At least it won't dry!

Final thoughts

I have definitely tried better Sephora Favourite products. This one just disappointed me non stop. 2 out of the 6 had problems within the first 5 minutes of application. Two I actually like. And one I won't ever use.

So looking at that, I PERSONALLY (that word is very important), do not like this kit. I don't think it's worth the money, even though I do like both products. I would just rather pay full price for the full item.

Sorry Sephora. You could do so much better.
