Maybelline 'Instant Age Rewind' Concealer VS. 'Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer' Battle/Review

Maybelline 'Instant Age Rewind' Concealer VS. 'Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer' Battle/Review

I was going to post a individual review on them both, but I decided that it's not new anymore because they have been talked about so often on YouTube or on blogs that it doesn't make much sense for me to do them. However, I use them both, so I decided to just do a battle! Let's get the most obvious thing out of the way: same price.

Now, let's get to the comparison! (Since that is the fun part...)

Initial application

Left eye: Master Conceal // Right eye: Instant Age Rewind

Let's start with application.

Now, the Instant Age Rewind Concealer has a weird sponge applicator on the top to help with the application whereas the Master Concealer is a squeeze tube so you would have to squeeze the produce onto your hand (or you can do what I do and put it directly to my face...).

Okay, the sponge gets disgusting fast and you also lose a lot of the application on there if you twist the cap too much. So you do not have this problem with the Master Conceal. HOWEVER, I actually prefer that sponge applicator and here's why: I don't need to do an additional step of squeezing the product onto the back of my hand (which I just said I don't even do, but you should!) and then applying it on my face. With the Instant Age Rewind I can just directly apply it and it will have already diffused the produce enough to make it easy to blend.

As the world knows though, it gets disgusting. Disgusting.

Okay, now consistency. The Instant Age Rewind is a lot more smoother and creamier in my opinion. It's so much easier to blend and requires a lot less effort to blend out seamlessly. The Master Conceal doesn't take long to blend either, but if you were running out the door, the Instant Age Rewind is your best bet for quick coverage of those disgusting undereye circles.

After 4+ hours

Left eye: Master Conceal // Right eye: Instant Age Rewind

Let's get into coverage. I was actually mildly surprised when I realized that the Master Conceal had more fuller coverage of my undereye bags. Now, my under eye bags are literally so disgusting that I have no words for them (why am I using the word disgusting so often...) so I'm always on the look out of good coverage concealer.

However, sadly, when I look closely, the Master Conceal definitely accentuates pores and such so, if you are going to a personal interview, maybe not this concealer. But otherwise, from afar, they actually both look great and look pretty identical! But if you do look closely at the Instant Age Rewind, you could still see some undereye bags peeping through (but, as I said, I have terrible under eye bags so if you do not, it'll most likely be full coverage for you! I have heard YouTuber's say that it is full coverage.) but it's barely noticeable. I just know what to look for and I found it, but it wasn't a big deal.

Now, as for wear.

Both are excellent. I have no complaints about the wear.

I realize that I am comparing two concealers of the same company so a lot of it is quite similar, but it's all up to preference. If the Master Concealer covers my under eye bags, then it's full coverage in my opinion. However, I would probably only use it on special occasions. Happily though, I think it may just replace my Nars Creamy Concealer when or if I run out of that.

So this has been the battle of concealers! Hope you enjoyed the comparison and please let me know if you want me to battle any other product!
